
This spot region produced a series of flares and ejections that in turn generated geomagnetic storms. The IVM sunspot images here show how rapidly the active part of the sunspot group evolved and decayed.

The largest flares occurred on 6-June-2000 at 15:25 UT and 7-June-2000 at 15:53 UT, shortly before our sunrise. (Subtract 10 hours to get the Hawaiian Standard Time.)
