IVM H-alpha Magnetogram

The active region AR9561 was observed during the survey on August 2, 2001. This composite shows that the IVM can measure magnetic fields in the solar chromosphere, using the H-alpha line. The IVM data used here is a quicklook reduction. A full science-grade reduction would be better. The Kitt Peak magnetogram measured in the photosphere is shown for reference.
