The active regions on the Sun normally appear in a narrow range of latitudes in both the northern and southern hemispheres. On the days shown here, from the beginning of July 2003, all the regions appeared in the north, and our daily IVM survey of regions nearly covers the Sun from east to west. This circumstance gives us a mini-mosaic image.
In each image, the intensity mosiac is at the top, and the magnetic field mosaic at the bottom. The full size images are linked through the thumbnails shown here. (Note: these images are shown at the reduced spatial resolution of the IVM survey analysis, so they are about 2000 x 1000 pixels.)
