IVM full disk mosaic

The principal instruments at Mees, the IVM and MCCD, normally observe single active regions. If desired, they are able to scan the full disk of the Sun to study global structure. The image here is a quicklook continuum image from an IVM mosaic taken on 4 May 2000. The actual mosaic is 3700 x 3700 pixels; the image here is reduced by a factor of 4.
